You can just see the tag here on the blue wall below - "Giant Octopus." That's it. No taxonomic data, no habitat data, no lifestyle information, nothing about giant cephalopod size (which is widely over-reported and misunderstood) and no information about the 115-year-old papier-mache model itself. Without that, it's really just a decorative element, and while it's a striking, awesome decorative element, is that really its best use? I didn't see a tag for the giant squid at all, but really, if all it was going to say was "Giant Squid," why bother? At least that's it's complete common name, though, unlike the octopus.
